The literary form (poem, essay, flash fiction, etc.) you use to instruct us in is up to you, but it must contain the words “children refugees of war.” If submitting a visual piece (artwork, photograph, video, etc.), then it must somehow speak, sing, or visually convey the same.

With so many innocent and helpless children refugees of war, please tell us Queen* of the World how you can make our planet a better place to live?

The selected submission will be posted at 8PMish tonight.

  1. The world is a beautiful, wondrous place one that if you were unborn and had the ability to think it would be unbelievable paradise to you.

Do we really appreciate its capabilities, its marvel , its staggering possibilities. I doubt it we are too busy making war…..

Our children of the world see its wonder its attraction, they are not marred by power, greed and egotism.

If I were lucky enough to be Queen of the world, I’d be someone who valued its people along with its staggering natural beauty.

I’d teach forgiveness above most things, enabling man to tolerate and see itself for all its worth rather than letting man think it needs something other than what the true world already has to offer in its amazing state….

Everywhere in our 21st century world we see destruction, man struggling for power, struggling to over turn his fellow man.

Where has the compassion disappeared to, what of our conscious. We see innocent people suffer, children refugees of war. Is there no end to the slaughter……

If I were Queen of the world even for just one day, I’d show my wrath, I’d wash away the evil with pure nature itself.

I’d save the innocent from their peril put balance back into mankind and hope above all else that we could be forgiven for our madness…….

  2. As a species, have we not had enough time on this planet to make things better for ourselves? Do we not have the technology needed to do so?

And what do we do with this technology? Do we offer a better future for the children refugees of war? Do we house them? Do we cease fighting wars for the sake of not killing each other?

With more time has come more wars. With greater technology has come greater weapons with which to wage those wars. And if our enemies lack those greater weapons, we give them those greater weapons so as to keep an enemy.

For we cannot have good if there is no evil.

We cannot have children in need, we cannot have refugees in need, we cannot have wars in need – all in need of compassion – if we put a stop to evil.

Evil has a purpose on this planet. If we lack evil, then we lack the motivation to learn how to not be evil.

And so, as Queen, I hereby allow evil to remain among us, to balance the good. After all, dreaming of a perfect world, making even the smallest contribution toward one, is how we exercise our compassion. And we certainly do not want compassion to become out of shape. Only in maintaining the fight can we remain strong and become stronger in the good we can do.

  3. To be a refugee means to be displaced. I wish nobody on this planet be affected by wars of any kind, which forces them to leave their shelter. The thought of “children being refugees of war” gives me goosebumps, more so because I’m a mother myself & anything related to a child makes me think in a motherly manner. It hurts deeply to read about what all trauma they face being refugees, that too being oblivious of what’s going on?
When I think of the people behind these wars & wonder the kind of mental state they have, often leads me to lot of frustration. They are not aliens, they are people like us, we call them inhuman, but that does not change the fact that they are human beings.
We all wish & Pray to God to make this world a better place. We wish for change.

I think a child is like a seed. You need to take care of it well. Nurture it with love & care. Instill in them from the very start, the value of kindness, value of love & let them know what is acceptable & what’s not. If each one of us will do our bit, then every house will produce a kind adult.
Imagine the fragrance of the world with so many kind flowers blooming then.

If the queen propagates kindness maybe the world will follow the suit. All this may sound unimaginable in today’s world. But if we’re talking about me being the queen, I will talk about my ways. Yes! That’s what I believe. Everything can be fixed with love. Hatred only leads to grudges & war. Love & words of kindness have immense healing power.
The queen will let it’s people know…
    1. Be kind to those who are kind to you.
2.You don’t always need weapons to convey your point, use your words instead.
    3. Anger always takes away people’s balanced thinking power.
4.Only a calm mind has the power to think wise.
A very tough & sensitive situation to deal with. The queen will have to be strong too. Stand tall & face it all. Last, but not the least –
Believe that she can make this world a better place to live.
