  1. After living in Japan for ten years, I have lost my romantic illusions. But have gained deep insight into an incredibly fascinating culture. We have a lot to learn from the Japanese art of social cooperation. Thanks for sharing.

      1. It’s an amazing culture I have a profound respect for it. But it has failed to evolve socially in so many crucial ways. And this is coming from the perspective of compassion for a place and people which I dearly love. I am equally critical of my home country, and any other in terms of it’s social injustices. We are always hardest on the ones we love the most.
