Perfection

In response to long-time political columnist and pundit George Will leaving the Republican Party over Donald Trump as its nominee for president, Trump tweeted:

This morning on Fox News Sunday when asked to respond to Trump’s tweet, George Will said:

Trump has an advantage over me. He can say all he knows about any subject in 140 characters. I can’t.

My response to Will’s response to Trump’s response:

Perfection.

  1. Also from NY Times regarding Trump/George Will: “You know he looks smart because he wears those little glasses,” he said at a rally in November. “If you take those glasses away from him, he’s a dummy.”

Yeah, right. As for his own eyeballs, at a campaign speech in South Carolina, Trump began by noting that he’s “always on the front page of The New York Times now.” He then put on reading glasses because “the print gets smaller and smaller and smaller as they lose more money.” (from TPM)

Dude, you can’t have it both ways, except in your own orange head.

  2. Great response from George Will…wish I’d thought of it, echoing the story of James Whistler retelling a funny tale to Oscar Wilde: Oscar said, ‘Jimmy, I wish I’d thought of that’, to which the artist responded, drily, ‘oh, you will, Oscar, you will..’. Just thought I’d inject a bit of levity to the debate. I haven’t counted the total words but, Gawd, am I hoping it’s a max of 140…
