Honor, Courage, and Commitment

Each branch of the military services has its own stated Core Values that each member of that branch is expected to uphold and is held accountable when not upholding them. When I served in the Navy, its Core Values were Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

They still are.

The Marine Corps falls under the Department of the Navy (but I would not recommend telling a Marine that s/he is in the Navy – it might not end well for you if you did); therefore, Marines have the same Core Values as Sailors.

We all know the nefarious, Nixonian place this disgraced Trump Train began, and we all know that it is heading towards an ultimate wreck of a conclusion…

Consequently, I hope and expect to see retired Marine Corps Generals Mattis and Kelly, our Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security respectively, resign in protest soon or their #patriotism and #honor be damned.

While I have hope, I have no such similar expectations for resignations in protest from all the other stooges Trump appointed.
