Banjos, cellos, plus groovie dance moves…

What more could one ask for?

I’m happy to have found another talented hillbilly punk band to add to my Hillbilly Punk Bands playlist.

These guys are good. Real good. After this video, go listen to some of their other stuff.

And guess what …

The Dead South is from direct north up in Canada… No, not the great southern Canadian state of Michigan, but that exotic — wait, what do Canadians call “states?”…I don’t remember, probably some French word — state-like place where Big Foot originates from.

A Canadian hillbilly punk band… there still is hope yet for this mixed-up, petulant but oh so pretty planet after all.

Anyway, once again, you’re welcome.

  7. I’m such a sucker for banjos (and banjolins, and banjoleles….oh and mandolins) that I’ve taken up restoring them and am, ever-so-slowly, learning to play.

Say it like you mean it
